Cancellation rules

Every listing on Staybnb uses one of three cancellation policies. You’ll see the policy on the listing page before you book and again at checkout.

Flexible

Best for guests

Full refund up to 24 hours before check-in. After that, the first night is non-refundable; the rest is refunded.

•Cancel up to 24h before check-in: 100% refund
•Cancel within 24h of check-in: first night non-refundable
•Cancel after check-in: nights remaining are refunded

Moderate

Default policy

Full refund up to 5 days before check-in. After that, 50% of the remaining nights are refunded.

•Cancel 5+ days before check-in: 100% refund
•Cancel within 5 days of check-in: 50% refund of remaining nights
•Service fees are refunded once per year for cancellations

Strict

For premium stays

Full refund only within 48 hours of booking AND at least 14 days before check-in. Otherwise, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in.

•First 48h after booking & 14+ days before check-in: 100% refund
•7+ days before check-in: 50% refund
•Within 7 days of check-in: no refund

Extenuating circumstances

We may override the policy above when something serious and unforeseeable affects your trip — e.g. natural disasters, government travel restrictions, or sudden illness with documentation. Contact support as soon as possible if you think your case qualifies.

Refunds are processed back to the original payment method and usually clear within 5–10 business days. Service fees follow the rules above. See our Terms & Conditions for the full legal text.
